BALTIMORE, MD– This afternoon, as the only candidate to put forth a comprehensive plan for Baltimore’s future, Nick Mosby discussed his plans to put Baltimore back to work.

We need to create a functional 21st Century transportation system that is connected to jobs and economic centers of the future and that’s exactly what I will do as Mayor. And at the same time – we will have a Jobs First economic agenda to bring investment back to our City and put our people back to work in Baltimore.~Nick Mosby

Campaign rhetoric does little for the people of this city who are eager to find gainful employment. The stale policies of the past have failed us too many times before. Unlike others in this race, Nick has solid policy to back up his proposals.

“As Mayor, I will create an expungement task force to break down barriers to employment.  Like the Ban the Box legislation that I fought for and led on – which is now being replicated by President Obama and the White House – we must provide opportunities to returning citizens.  We will also provide free vocational training at BCCC for targeted job sectors to guide residents to industries that our growing and free GED teaching and testing, and classes in computer literacy to ensure that everyone has baseline skills to access job opportunities.” ~Nick Mosby
